More than 1.500 surgeons trained worldwide

Based on our experience of more than 1.500 surgeons trained in all of these different specialties and in many different countries, countless patient-side assist missions for first cases, as well as for live procedures during congresses all over the world, we can ensure a very active role in either helping you start, or improve your efficiency in robotic surgery.

Every robotic program is different and requires a customized approach

Our philosophy

“Taking Robotically Assisted Surgery To The Next Level” is about embracing the technology, by really understanding it, mastering it, and integrating it as fluidly as possible in your operating theatres and your practice. This requires teamwork.

From materials management to surgical technique, including all personnel involved. We believe that a successful robotic surgery program is hinged on this teamwork.

We have successfully trained, installed and proctored many teams, in all specialties, from system introduction and training, to successful surgery.

The man behind the magic

Meet the consultant

David Douglas has had three years experience in the installation of reusable laparoscopic instrumentation at the beginning of this technique in general surgery back in the late 90’s with a major endoscopy company.

He was then trained to scrub in and help surgical teams with disposable laparoscopic staplers, cannulas and instruments for their first cases, working for a disposable laparoscopic instrument manufacturer. He developed specific instrumentation for laparoscopic morbid obesity surgery. This ten-year experience of scrubbing in for laparoscopic surgery ended up very useful when approaching robotic assisted surgery.

When surgical robotics saw the day, he joined a surgical robotics company in August of 2000 as a Clinical Specialist, and was quickly given the responsibility of developing a training department from scratch. During his eleven-year tenure, he has personally trained over 700 surgeons, countless scrub and circulating nurses and bio-technicians. He hired and managed a team that trained over 1500 surgeons. He was also the point person outside the USA for Cardiac Surgery for this company and participated in improving the design of the company’s robotic cardiac stabilizer system.
David has the unique and proven ability to assist a surgical team for their first robotic cases as a physician-assistant, in all specialties, including live procedures during congresses, with system install, instrument and accessory organization, and finally patient-side assisting. He has installed ten training centers from, Sao Paulo to Scandinavia, from Western Europe to Hong Kong, and has trained the trainers there.

They trust us

They will never forget us

Christian Ottosen

Gynaecology Surgeon / Copenhagen, Denmark

Many thanks for supporting, backing, pushing, instructing, training, to make this possible. Both cases uncomplicated so far, signed out of the hospital this morning.

Abdulwahid Almulla

Cardiac Surgeon / Doha, Qatar

Thank you very much for your continuous support. The three TECAB procedures were our success, you and us. Without your support this would not have happened.

Ole Mathiesen

Gynaecology Surgeon / Skejby, Denmark

I have been in surgery for more than 20 years, and I have never been so well prepared to take on a new surgical technology/technique.

Thierry Piechaud

Urology Surgeon / Bordeaux, France

Just a few words to thank you for your collaboration and support during the practical robotic sessions in advanced urology, it was well appreciated by all participants.

Hubert Lardy

Pediatric Surgeon / Tours, France

Thanks for the excellent training that allowed all to go perfectly.
